Now it's time to start taking action to help you build your business! It is normal to feel a little nervous, or even uncomfortable. We've all been there. When you're starting something new, everything is unfamiliar and it can get overwhelming quick. It won't always feel this way, I promise. Getting out of your comfort zone is HARD, but we will be right by your side supporting you and although it's not always easy, it's WORTH IT!  Let’s jump in!

There are only 4 important steps to get your business started:

  1. Top 10

  2. Launching In Person/Zoom

  3. One-on-ones

  4. PLUG IN!

I am going to outline what this looks like below, and want you to familiarize yourself with these three getting-started steps.

If you want to WALK: start with the launch events. This will be a great way to get the word out that you're open for business. Focusing on the product is a great place to start, but your growth potential is limited.

If you want to RUN: start with the top 10! This will catapult you into exponential growth and move you towards a higher paycheck quicker. The benefit of being in network marketing versus direct sales is your ability to leverage through virtually franchising your brand.

This is NETWORK marketing. The most important thing will be to KEEP growing your network. But don't worry, that's what we're going to set you up to do! We are your coaches, trust us!

Top 10

  • The biggest blessing we have to offer someone is actually not our products, although they are fantastic. The best thing we can offer someone is this business. You're here because this business offers you something you need: additional money, choices, flexibility, time with kids or family, travel, hope, etc. You're not alone. Other people, people you know, want and need those same things.

  • In addition to that, although many people promote to District Manager on their own, to advance to Area Manager and above ($1000 plus paychecks), you need business partners. And let me promise you, you WANT business partners. Nothing is more exciting than helping someone else get ahead and growing a business together.

  • Sharing the business opportunity is an important skill to learn when you're starting your business. This step will give you some practice doing just that. Make a list of 10 people you'd love to work with. Who do you admire? Who would be a lot of fun? Who is already influential in their life of line or work? Those are the people you should put on this list. I want to encourage you not to pre-judge anyone. You might think your lawyer friend wouldn't be interested in this because she already makes good money, or your stay-at-home-mom friend already has all the time flexibility she needs and would never consider this.  The truth is, many professionals feel trapped in their income bracket and desire more time, and many who seem to have time have sacrificed financially to do it. There are plenty of lawyers, doctors, CEOs, SAHMs, teachers, nannies, students, and retirees in this business already. 95% of people who start are full-time working parents. That means busy people do Arbonne! Let your top 10 decide for themselves if they're interested. And if they're not, they might know someone who is.

  • Here's the reality: if you're sure they're not interested, then you lose nothing by asking. If they say no, well, that's what you expected, so no harm, no foul. But what if they say yes?

  • If someone from your Top 10 list is a "no thank you" to getting on a business Zoom, be sure to invite them to your launch or ask them for a one-on-one. You can also ask them if they'd be open to hosting for you.

  • Goals of sharing the business:

    • You can go District Manager as a team of one, but it's much harder to promote beyond that and access the higher levels of pay, bonuses, and benefits. Business partners help us promote.

    • I am willing to bet that the majority of the things on your 21 Reasons Why Arbonne list require a $ 1,000-plus monthly paycheck to start checking them off. Sharing the business allows us to leverage our time. That allows us to be in more than one place at once, so to speak. When we teach and train others to do what we're doing, we're duplicating ourselves and our efforts. Imagine if you had 10 of you cleaning your house. You'd get a lot farther a lot faster, right. The same is true here.

    • When we're sharing the business, people say yes (similarly, when we're not sharing the business intentionally, we don't gain business partners. Myth: "They will tell me if they're interested." It almost never happens). When people say yes, they launch their business! Their launch demos fill our calendar. We meet new people, new potential clients, new hosts, and new business partners. When people are launching, our calendar stays full, our network keeps growing.

  • When reaching out to your top 10, DO NOT cut and paste the following and send to everyone. Personalize and add your own voice. This is meant to be a blueprint to give you an idea. The goal is that they might be intrigued but also blessed by your message.

Break the ice:

"Hey ______! I wanted to reach out to you and ask you a question that is super out of left field. I just recently partnered with Arbonne, a health and wellness brand, and I'm not sure if you keep your options open for additional income, but I'd love to share with you what I do.

Compliment:

I thought of you because you are super hardworking, and remind me of a lot of the women who have had success. (Feel free to be as genuine and specific as you can for each person)

Question:

I'm having a quick little zoom on (date and time) to share some more information about this. After listening, this might not be the right fit for you, and it's okay if it's not, but if I sent you the link, would you be open to hopping on to learn more?

* After your first scheduled zoom for your top 10, you can invite people to the scheduled Discover Arbonnes that we share via voxer, or you can always send a recorded call. Two examples below.

Launching In Person and on Zoom

  • Launching in person and on zoom means you select three dates/times (two in person and one on zoom) that work with you and your upline's schedule to give your network a quick overview about Arbonne. It's a chance for you to share with your friends and family why you decided to start this business, and it's a place where they can learn some information about the company to better understand what you’re doing and why! This is a huge step in getting your business started. Think of it as a Grand Opening to your new business; you want everyone to know you can help with their nutrition, skincare, beauty, and wellness product needs. We keep the launches very casual. Your friends and family will not feel any pressure to purchase; it's just information so they can better understand what you’re up to and why. I know this part can feel really scary - I call it coming out of the Arbonne closet - but just trust that all of these pieces are essential in order to give you the most successful start possible.

  • If you're nervous, don't worry we're not. You don’t need to know all the details. We've got you. You can discuss all the details of what executing the event will actually look like. Your upline will go over the scripts with you below.

  • You can find the step-by-step process of how to launch on zoom or in person in the scripts below.

  • Goals of your launch (in this order):

    • Business partners! Who needs what you need? We're looking for people to partner with, because we literally rise by lifting others in this business.

    • Hosts! We need to meet new people to keep our network growing. Hosts naturally do that for us.

    • Clients! Believe it or not, clients aren't the first thing we're looking for, though we're grateful to gain them. Clients are potential hosts and business partners, and when we execute excellent customer service and follow up (see step 3), we hope that's exactly what they'll become.

Zoom launch ask:

"Hey! Not sure if you know this, but I just started a business with Arbonne, which is a health and wellness company and I'm having an online business launch just to get trained and to explain a little more about what I'm doing, why I decided to jump in, and a quick overview of this company. It will be about 20 mins and all you would have to do is tune in virtually from the comfort of your home! I would super appreciate your support and would love to see you there! Are you able to tune in on (date and time)?"

In person launch ask:

"Hey! Not sure if you knew this, but I just started an Arbonne business, and I'm having a healthy happy hour to get trained and to explain a little more about what I'm doing, why I decided to jump in, and a quick overview of this company. It would mean the WORLD to me to have your support and someone to practice on. It's on (date and time). Can you come have a glass of wine and hangout?"

One-on-ones!

  • For those friends and family who were unable to make it to your launch demos either in person or online, GOOD NEWS, you can meet with them one-on-one in the same way (either in person or on zoom) to share the information. The first 3-5, your upline will do for/with you until you feel confident enough to do them yourself. The goal is to help you feel so confident that you could have a conversation anytime and feel informed about what you are saying.

  • Goals of a one-on-one:

    • Build confidence in and practice sharing about Arbonne.

    • Continue to get the word out and gain clients, as well as potential hosts and business partners.

    • One-on-one's are a great way to go over the information in a more casual, conversatonal way. It often leads to opportunites to customize the information based on the person you're talking to and what they might be interested in or need.

    • It's a great way to build relationships.

  • What is a one-on-one?

    • A demo for an audience of one! We'll cover all the same things we do in a product demo, and we'll use the same script. It's just a more convenient option for you to work around someone's schedule, especially if they're not ready to host yet.

One-on-one ask:

Hey! As you know, I recently partnered with Arbonne, an incredible healthy and wellness company. I know you couldn't make it to my launches, but I'd love to share the info with you. No strings attached, I literally just need a set of ears to help practice my presentation a little more. Can I buy you a coffee and give you the details (if not local: Would you be willing to jump on a Zoom with me so I can give you the details?) I would be so grateful."

Plug in!

It is critical that you plug into meetings, trainings, retreats, and Monday Mindset calls IN PERSON as frequently as possible! Everything is recorded, and that is a blessing, but statistics show that people rarely go back and listen to something once it's already over. We provide insight, training, and most importantly, inspiration to keep you going and give you new ideas and perspectives. This business is sometimes frustrating and you will face discouragement--thats NORMAL--but we want you to understand that although you are in business for yourself, you're not in business alone. You have a group of people surrounding you that want you to succeed and will provide you with the tools to do just that. Also, we'd hate for you to miss out on one of the biggest blessings offered in Arbonne: This amazing community. So please, take some time to add these reoccurring events, monthly meetings, and any upcoming retreats or trainings put on by our corporate office or your upline. We do it all for you!

There are countless resources in Boards under Team calls and trainings.

Read and Learn

Read/listen to books for at least 20 minutes a day. These books will help build your mental toughness, your BELIEF in you, and your belief in this business. It’s essential for success. Not gonna sugar coat it… if you don’t read and grow yourself, you will not have success.
