First Week and Beyond

Keep sharing the business

I am so proud of you for launching and starting your business asks! I know we started with your top 10, but now I would love for you to challenge yourself to write a list of 30 people to share this business with. Why? A lot of reasons!

  1.  This business is the best product we offer. It's the one that changes the most lives the most dramatically. I've never had anyone break down in tears over the taste of our protein, but I have seen tears when an Arbonne paycheck is the same as a mortgage payment. If you're stressed about money, looking for more purpose, excited about this community, or just ready to do something for you... you're not alone.

  2. When you start with the business, you can always move to product if they're not interested in the business. It does not work the other way around. Start with the biggest thing, and based on their responses to what you're asking/offering, move them in the next best direction towards products that fit their needs.

  3. If you're regularly asking people to take a look at this business, you're regularly hearing yes! It's true, you will also hear no. Usually 1 out of every 10 asks results in a YES, but those no's rarely stay no for long. When you have people joining your business, you're filling your calendar with their launch demos. That's YOUR business growing! Those demos are YOUR business also. You're meeting new people, expanding your network, and growing in clients, hosts, and additional business partners.

  4. If your friend does not decide to continue to pursue the business, you've met a lot of their friends and gained clients regardless. Drill down in those networks and build relationships. The great majority of the clients and business partners I have today have come from people who built businesses or a short period of time.

  5. There is nothing more exciting than helping someone else be successful. You're going to LOVE this part.

  6. If you are serious about growing and would like to earn $1000-plus a month, getting this opportunity in front of 30 people in the next 30 days is the best approach! Of course, there are no guarantees, but from my experience, those consultants who start sharing this business early typically promote to District Manager (DM) and gain momentum towards Area rapidly. SO I want to encourage you to trust us! If you follow this system, you will achieve success and results over time!!

Once you've already executed a Top 10, please feel free to plug prospects into weekly Discover Arbonnes (business overview presentations) in person and over zoom. These will be shared via Voxer as they come up. Also, feel free to ask your upline to schedule another one for you! We love that. Lastly, you can always send recorded calls (found in boards and on step two) or meet someone in person to chat (refer to one-on-ones in step two).

Book your calendar!

Having a full calendar means you're building your business, growing your network, and building momentum. We know you can't build a business off just friends and family, so it's important to book your calendar with either launch events for your new business builders or hosts you've either asked for yourself or gotten from booking games (found in boards), and of course, one-on-ones mixed in as well as sharing your journey on social. You can also do text parties (found in boards), if you find people aren't able or willing to host in-person events.

Your friends and family can be amazing connectors, but they won’t be the ones to help you grow beyond the first level. In the same way, if we opened a salon, we wouldn’t constantly be calling our mom or best friend for a weekly haircut to keep us in business. We don’t want to ask the same people to order, expecting them to grow our business. We want a variety of clients and consultants, and want our list of clientele to always be growing.

  • Why do we ask for hosts/one-on-ones?

    • We need to continue growing our network! And people you know know people you don't know. Hosts continue to keep you in front of new people who are also potential hosts and business partners.

    • Someone who is willing to host is likely someone who might consider becoming a business partner. When they see that their friends and family are open to hosting, becoming clients, or even doing the business themselves, they become open to the idea!

  • Who should you ask to host?

    • Anyone who was unable to attend your launch events.

    • Anyone who DID attend your launch demos and either bought the product or might desire a better discount to buy.

    • Anyone who is a no to the business after watching the video or attending a Discover Arbonne may be open to hosting for you! It's worth asking!

    • **IF someone is not able to host in person, ask them if they'd be open to doing a text party!

In-person host ask:

“Hey ____! I know you know I just started my business with Arbonne and am so excited! As part of my training, I need some practice with the presentation and I need to meet new people. Would you be willing to help me? It would mean the world to me if you'd be open to getting a few friends together. In return, I'd love to offer you a gift and a 35% discount code just for the practice and introduction to some new friends. I know you’re so busy, so I'll make sure it's quick and fun.  Would you be willing to do that? I would forever be so grateful!”

Text party host ask:

"Hey _____! Quick favor. As you may know, I've started an Arbonne business and I'm eager to meet new people and share the Arbonne brand. Would you be open to inviting a few friends to a "text event" which happens entirely in a group text (over about 30 minutes, nothing live)? It's a lot of fun and people love the ability to check things out from the comfort of their own couch.

I'll send you the exact wording to copy/paste, so it's really easy. There'll be giveaways and freebies, and if they miss it live, they can catch up later. As a thank you, I'd love to give you 35% off if you want to get anything. Are you open to this?"

Helpful tools to grow

Another thing that is helpful is setting goals for either $2500 in sales, promoting to DM, or going First Step Area in your first 1-2 months in business! Everyone works at different paces, so pick something that feels good. Take a look at the promoting video and the new consultant success blueprint below to see what it might look like to hit your New Consultant Bonus or Promote to DM. You can always talk to your upline about your goals, too. That's what we're here for. You will also find sample verbiage and ideas for how to make product and/or business reach-outs beyond your initial lauch activities in boards.
